Restoration

This particular Kalamazoo was 100% original when I opened her up. Because of the wax capacitors and the drifted and somewhat cooked carbon comp resistors, this amp is getting a full rebuild with all new components.

Cap Jobs

Tube amplifiers use electrolytic capacitors that will eventually fail.  This is a pretty common service item I handle often.

Detail-Oriented

This Fender Blues Jr. was smoking when it was powered on.  Upon disassembly I noticed leaking filter caps - all were replaced.  I also replaced the voltage droppers, screen resistors, and cooled the bias.  Oh yeah, and the tube board was cooked and needed two sockets and some traces jumpered.  Now it sounds magical again….
